Hi there! I’m writing this with one laughing and one crying eye. Today is the last day of my P52. The last year has been an awesome journey. There were some awesome days and some awesome shootings, but also some tough days when nothing seemed to turn out as I wanted it to. And I admit it, there also were some days where I didn’t want to get up from my couch to shoot a picture at all. But as my Taekwon Do trainer once told me “Discipline is, to choose what you want most, over what you want now”. So I picked myself up and took a picture nonetheless. And each week, I learned something new and when you take a look back at my first pictures and compare the, to my last ones, I’m sure you can see the difference. Thank you a lot for staying with me during this last year. Your feedback in flickr and facebook and so is much welcome and one of the reasons that keeps me going! And if you’re reading this, it means that you even clicked the link to my page and read all this stuff. You’re awesome!
So now that the project is done, what’s next? At first, I will take a break ;-). Even though, I already have some ideas for next year and some concepts that are just waiting to be realized, I will take a few week off now and rest (I still have a bunch of unedited picture from our vacation lying around that are in desperate need of attention). And after a few weeks off, I will be back. The biggest problem I had during this year, is that for some of the picture, I would’ve liked to take a little more time, plan a little better and invest some more time in the post production. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do! So I’m not sure if I will start a new P52, but there will be regular pictures. Also, I will change the concept of my blog a little. Right now, I’m working on a new concept, that includes some tutorials or making offs (maybe even some video tutorials, who knows ;-)), to make it a little more interesting for you guys. Still not 100% sure how this will look like, but this is one of the things I will look into over the next few weeks. Also the design of my page still needs some tweaking. So stay tuned, this is just the beginning of an even bigger journey!
So thanks again for staying with me and see you in 2015!
Have a good one – Florian
