Beware, Halloween pics are coming ;-). Of course, I won’t make an exception here. I sometimes like to do creepy or gory pics, even if Halloween is not around the corner. And I surely won’t let this opportunity slip by. In the last years, Zombies became more and more popular. I also did some Zombie pics some years ago, what is why I decided to go for something different. To be honest, I had a quite big shooting planned for this pic. I already made plans, arranged my buddy Fabian as model and scouted the perfect location for the shooting. But unfortunately, we had pretty severe weather in Germany last week, with tough storm and rain so hard, you couldn’t see more than 20m. So unfortunately I had to postpone this shooting, and plan something different. So as Fabian had already agreed to model and he also brought this awesome cloak, I at least wanted to use this in my picture. When I first saw the cloak, I immediately had to think about this creepy Death guy, who sucks the souls or life energy from his victims. On Friday, I had some people over at my house, one of my best buddies, Dan, (http://flowtography.net/week-12-treasure-hunter/) came home from working in China for a view days. So Fabian and I made the shooting while the rest was wrecing havoc on my house ;-). I shot the background back in NYC. It’s a small street in Brooklin at night.
For lighting I used 4 strobes. 2 softboxes and 2 bare. The softboxes were standing on cam rigth each at 45° before and behind the subjects. The bare strobe were arrayed in the same pattern on cam left.
