The daily routine has me back. The first week of work is done already and the nice relaxed vacation feeling is already fading. I had hoped for a somewhat slow start in my work life again, but well. So I was on the road again for 3 days and came back just on Friday night.
I’m still working on our vacation pictures, at least when I’m home and Marie and I are still trying to decide which picture will look best on our wall ;-). I also took the chance to take some nice background pictures when we were in the US. So for this week, I was anxious to use one of these. Also, as I had a pretty long break now and my Bamboo tablet slowly began to gather dust, I just needed my weekly dose of composing again ;-).
So I decided to toy around a little with different brushes and create this kind of “glass-shard explosion” like effect.
For lighting I used a 3 strobe setup. One softbox directly above Marie and slightly to cam left in order to avoid her bumping into the softbox while jumping as my basement ceiling is not that high. One striplight at 02:00 as rimlight. And one bare strobe standing on the ground like 1m in front of Marie to brighten up her trousers a little bit.
So long – Florian
